And another one! You’ve probably listened to his latest chart-topping album God Did on repeat, and now, turns out, you can have Miami’s own Grammy-award-winning musician DJ Khalid as your next Airbnb host, too.
Fresh off of also revealing his newest collaboration with Nike’s Jordan brand, DJ Khalid, born Khaled Mohammed Khaled, has revealed plans to offer fans an exclusive stay inside his fabled sneaker closet, which contains over 10,000 kicks, in his 305 Miami home. Bookings can be made through Airbnb.
“Sneakers are an essential part of hip-hop culture and collecting them is an art – just like creating music,” DJ Khaled emphasized.” We bring the same passion and energy to the shoe game as we do the studio. That’s why we’re excited to share our sneaker kingdom with fans and give them a chance to walk in our shoes, literally.”
The “We the Best” producer is well-known for posting videos across his social media for living life B-I-G, so guests can expect a stay in DJ Khalid’s house as nothing short of an equally extravagant and grandiose experience.
Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
- Guests can book two, one-night stays in his sneaker closet for December 5th and 6th.
- The costs for two guests will only be $11 each, plus taxes.
As for the extra perks—yes, get excited—during the stay each guest will receive:
- A handwritten welcome note from DJ Khalid
- An exclusive pair of We the Best Air Jordan 5s
- A sleeping quarter in DJ Khalid’s legendary sneaker room
- Access to an outdoor lounge and pool
- A chance to enjoy catered dinner from Miami eateries, including DJ Khalid’s own restaurant, The Licking – Miami Gardens
- An opportunity to shop at 305 Kicks, an upscale sneaker store
You don’t need to be a sneakerhead to admit that that sounds like a whole lot of fun. And if you’re up for two nights stay in DJ Khalid’s sneaker kingdom, you can request to book your spot starting on Tuesday, November 29th at 1:00 PM ET. All booking will be handled through AirBnb, at www.airbnb.com/WeTheBest.
Due note that guests will be responsible for their own travel to and from Miami—I know, what a bummer—and that local rules and guidelines regarding wearing masks and social distancing, as well as Airbnb’s own COVID-19 Safe Practices, must be followed.
Additionally, no pets are allowed, and though as tempting as it would be to touch and wear any shoe from the collection, only photos are allowed of the sneakers.
